SXSW: El Carrito with Zahida Pirani (Director, Writer, Editor)

Writer, director and community activist Zahida Pirani joins FNM to discuss her narrative short film El Carrito, which premieres at the 2022 South By Southwest film festival on March 12. El Carrito follows the story of Nelly, a Guatemalan vendor in Queens, NYC. The film examines the daily challenges that vendors face and subverts the ethos of the American Dream.
